Successfully Managing People

Building a foundation for excellence in management

This interactive and intensive programme provides first line managers with an ILM endorsed certificate whilst learning and putting into practice the fundamentals of management and leadership. The course in Successfully Managing People raises self awareness of delegate management skills, discusses the theory of successful management, leadership and team leadership and provides an effective arena to practise new skills discussed and learned.

To conclude the course delegates will complete a 1000 -1200 word assessment to assess their understanding of the principles of management, complete four short segment reviews, normally of no more than 250 words and with one to one feedback from the trainer, complete a Personal Development Record to use back in the workplace. Delegates will receive an ILM endorsed certificate recognising their success on passing the assessment.

On attendance to the programme delegates will be registered with the ILM and be invited to claim their free ILM membership. Membership provides continued learning about management, networking opportunities and up to date information relevant for today's supervisors and managers, via the ILM's resource centre.
