This Programme has been developed in response to the dramatic changes that are taking place in workplace dynamics. As the learning and development partner of hundreds of public and private sector organisations, we are seeing new styles of working and management. Almost everyone is required to manage someone else, whether that’s a peer, a boss, a subordinate or a supplier – and that calls upon a completely different skills toolkit.
To help their managers rise to meet these new challenges, clients have been asking us to provide them with professional development programmes. These initiatives have made such a profound and positive difference to their leadership and management approach that we decided to formulate a highly-focused, 5-topic Programme, that is dedicated to giving managers the Essential Business Skills for the 21st Century.
How Does It Work?
The 5 modules are delivered over a 5 month period in the following order and format:
- The Power of Communication and Image Projection 1 day
- Thinking Creatively to Solve Problems 1 day
- Essential Progressive Management Skills 2 days
- The Role of Coaching in Management 2 days
- Inspirational Leadership and Team Development 2 days
Working with a partner, your Module Action Planning assignments will cement learning and prepare you for the next module. Sharing knowledge and ideas with a colleague has a highly beneficial impact on individual learning. A monthly conference call with the Lead Coach will enable all delegates to discuss how they are using their new skills in the workplace, and share knowledge and best practice with the aim of moving forward towards the next module.
Pre- and Post-Programme Assessment
- Prior to programme commencement, there will be an in-depth assessment of your current skill set
- To ensure that you capitalise on your new skills, you will have a one-to-one personal development planning session by telephone with the Lead Coach
- A continuation of your one-to-one coaching is available as an optional extra Continuity Between Modules
